Robinson said that the Civil Rights Movement “destroyed” Black schools and businesses. He said the US should “go back to the America where women couldn’t vote” and are “called to be led by men.”

Stein joined other attorneys general in defending a key portion of the Voting Rights Act. As Governor, Stein said he would focus on “ensuring our kids get the quality education they need to succeed in life.” He is endorsed by North Carolina educators.

Robinson advocated for eliminating the State Board of Education, and supported reducing funding for North Carolina public schools in favor of private school vouchers. He is endorsed by Moms for American Action.

As Attorney General, Stein won an $11 billion nationwide settlement against CVS and Walgreens for failing to properly oversee prescriptions and contributing to the opioid crisis. Stein has also taken legal action against several corporations for polluting drinking water in North Carolina. He is in favor of Medicaid expansion, which helped 500,000 North Carolinians gain healthcare coverage.

Robinson has criticized suing drug companies for their role in the opioid crisis. He stated that he is “not in favor” of Medicaid expansion, and has said that the Affordable Care Act “is a concentrated effort…to enslave everybody.” Robinson says, “We can come up with our own healthcare system that would be far better than anything the federal government can provide.”

Stein said that “Political violence is abhorrent and has no place in America … People should be able to have differing opinions without fear of violence or threats.”

In a speech this past summer, Robinson said, “Some folks need killing … It’s time for someone to say it. It’s not a matter of vengeance. It’s not a matter of being mean or spiteful. It’s a matter of necessity.” Robinson called the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the United State Capitol a “minor thing” and said those arrested were “political prisoners.”

Riggs has argued cases in front of the United States Supreme Court against racial and partisan gerrymandering. She said she is running to hold her seat because “I know how important it is to have people who care about justice and equity…”

Griffin wrote that the law is “color blind.” Griffin also lauded North Carolina’s strict Voter ID law, which is being challenged by the North Carolina NAACP for allegedly discriminating against Black and Latino voters.

As a Supreme Court Justice, Riggs authored a dissenting opinion defending North Carolina homeowners who were denied mortgage modifications by the Bank of America that could have helped them to keep their homes. Bank of America employees reportedly admitted to denying the modifications for “bogus reasons.”

Griffin lists “corporate counsel” as an area of experience. Griffin supported corporations in workplace injury cases.

Green has criticized comments made by his opponent, Michele Morrow, who called for the public executions of Presidents Obama and Biden. Green said, “We should not tolerate this, we cannot accept this, we cannot normalize this kind of rhetoric.”
